Joy Smliey - Salon Owner & Finished Groomer

After many years in the veterinary industry, filling the roles of veterinary and surgical assistant as well as office manager, I decided it was time to pursue my dream.

Apprenticing with some of the finest groomers in the Philadelphia area for several 

years prepared me to open my own salon, Summerwind Grooming in 2001.

By combining my innate animal handling skills, my understanding of animal behavior and my artistic ability, I provide an Unparalleled grooming experience.

A resident of Marion County, I am the mother of two wonderful daughters, Victoria and Francesca and happily married to Warren Smiley, a very accomplished dog trainer.  We are fortunate to enjoy our 10 spectacular dogs, 10 cats and herd of Spanish Arabian horses on our farm in Ocala, Florida.
